We are now promoting our Annual Paulist Appeal. Each year, all the Paulist locations do a push to fund raise for the yearly expenses of the Paulist Fathers to keep the Paulists growing and caring.
We use the funds
to help take care of our senior Paulists like Fr. Ted, Fr. Bernie, and Fr. Peter;
to form our future Paulists like Eric Hernandez;
to recruit future Paulist which Fr. Dat does full time as our vocation director; and
to share the joy of the Gospel through our specialty ministries like Busted Halo Young Adult Ministry, Paulist Parish Missions, Ecumenical and Interfaith Dialogue National Office, Reconciliation National Office, and Paulist Evangelization Ministries.
Please be generous in your support of the Paulist Fathers. You can support us in our ministry by:
Get more involved in ministry at Newman - We have lots of different ministries to grow in faith and to serve. Check out our parish groups and find one or more to join.
Pray for us - Nothing is truly accomplished unless it is joined with God's vision. Otherwise we're just building sandcastles, many of them quite beautiful, that will eventually wash away in the next tide. So please pray that the Paulists are always finding inspiration and completion of their endeavors through Christ.
Lean more about us and invite young men who you think will be great spiritual guides as Paulists for your sons and daughters, granddaughters and grandsons.
Support us financially - If God has blessed you with income, it is another way for you to share your time and talent indirectly with us. Money is only but an inaccurate conversion of one's time and talents into something more tradable. It's inaccurate because God sees us as of infinite worth that God sacrificed His only Son for us, but society will pay us as little is it can get away with. That's why we need minimum wage laws. For all our Newman employees paid minimum wage or unsatisfying wages, sadly the parish is playing by societal rules.
Some ways to support us include:
a) Visit www.paulist.org/apa
b) Use FaithDirect with the note: Paulist Appeal
c) Use VENMO with the note: Paulist Appeal
d) Drop off a check with the note: Paulist Appeal
Please check out the preaching on the appeal on the 3rd Sunday of Ordinary Time Mass. All five Berkeley Paulists shared different aspects of the Paulist Fathers that inspires us personally. This will hopefully give you some insight to our religious order and inspire you to join us in our mission to proclaim the Good News in America.
