Meet the 2025-2026 Student Ministry Team. We are a team of 11 Student Ministers who organize and run events and projects for the Holy Spirit Newman Hall community!
Mission Statement:
As the Student Ministry Team, we strive to build, serve, and nourish a community rooted in Christ through living and sharing the joy of the Gospel.
Executive
The Executive Committee oversees and supports Student Ministry Team chairs and their respective committees such that Student Ministry Team is always working together to fulfill our overarching mission statement.

Faith Formation
The Faith Formation Committee contributes to the authentic intellectual formation of Newman, training students to know, love, and defend the faith. It accompanies all students, and in particular, new converts and those who find Catholic teachings difficult.

Interior Life
The Interior Life Committee inspires the student body to enhance their spiritual life via self-knowledge and prayer. It organizes all the events that relate to prayer groups such as eucharistic adoration, rosaries, divine mercy chaplet, etc.

Liturgy
The Liturgy Committee seeks to foster piety, devotion, and solemn participation in the prayer of the Church, with special reverence for liturgical traditions.

Music
The Music Committee strives to bring people to Christ through the beauty of music and worship. We are in charge of providing music for Sunday 5pm Student Mass, Thursday night Adoration (7pm) and Mass (8pm), as well as miscellaneous events such as retreats. If you're interested in joining, contact Sophia or show up to choir rehearsal on Sundays at 3:30pm. We're always looking for more singers and instrumentalists!

Evangelization
The committee brings the Good News of Jesus Christ via outreach. By sharing their charisms, others are given the opportunity to encounter the Lord.

Building Community
The Community Committee builds an authentic Christian community based on virtue-centered friendship and fun. It welcomes students from all walks of life and helps them to find their home at Newman.
