Isaac Rey Orton

Born into this Life – December 19, 1988
Born into Eternal Life – September 14, 2020

Isaac Rey Orton passed away tragically on Monday, September 14, at the age of 31 years. Isaac will be greatly missed by his parents, JC and Lisa, and by his aunt Victoria (Tory), his uncle Tom, and other relatives and friends.

An only child, Isaac was born in the Bay Area on December 19, 1988 and was baptized and celebrated his First Communion at Newman Hall-Holy Spirit Parish.  Newman Hall is honored to welcome him back one final time as we surround him with our prayers and our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and witness the fulfillment of God’s promise of resurrection into eternal life.

Isaac attended Catholic elementary school and later public middle school and high school.   After high school, he moved to LA to attend LA Recording School for 2 years. Isaac’s interests included skateboarding and creating “beats” for his rapper friends.

At various times in his life, Isaac joined his father, JC, in serving the poor and working for social justice. In his youth, he worked with the Catholic Worker. Later he accompanied his father to protests around the country as they witnessed for justice, even traveling with JC to Atlanta to participate in the protest at the School of the Americas in Georgia.

Isaac was living at home most recently.  He is finally at peace, free of the many crosses and demons he faced in his short lifetime.

Please keep him and Lisa and JC in your prayers.
