K – 12 Sunday Sessions

This year, we are introducing a new paradigm for faith formation for all grades including kindergarten.  Twice a month, the children will gather with their parents and our catechists after the 10am Mass for a catechetical session.  After each gathering, a simple lunch is provided to allow our families to build community so they can better support each other.  During the weeks we do not meet, parents are to use their workbooks to help teach their children about the faith.  The more parents understand and share the faith, the more our children will appreciate its value.  We kick off the school year with a Family Mass and catechist commissioning.

Children’s RCIA

This is a fun and gentle program for children to prepare to receive the sacraments.  This is for children five and older who have not been baptized or who were baptized in another Christian tradition, and now want to be Catholic.  Families meet  to experience and share the stories, rituals, and symbols of the Catholic Faith. This program is patterned after the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and is adapted for the needs of children and their families. Sessions meet during the school year.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children grades K-6 gather in the chapel with their parents for 10:00 a.m. Liturgy.  Following the opening prayer, they are dismissed and process upstairs for their session.  Sunday readings are adapted for the children, with time for discussion.  They conclude with the Prayers of the Faithful then return to the chapel in time for Eucharist.  Meetings are at the 10 am Sunday Mass throughout the year..
