FREE AND EASY
Naming Newman Hall - Holy Spirit Parish as a beneficiary is perhaps the easiest type of planned giving that can be of enormous benefit to Newman in the long term, and even better, it is free: simply a matter of filling out some paperwork.
You can make Newman your beneficiary, in whole or in part, on a wide variety of your financial assets such as
IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred retirement account
life insurance of both types, term or permanent
any savings or checking accounts you might hold
a donor advised funds you have created
any commercial annuities you may hold
All that is necessary for this type of gift is to contact the institution that holds these assets, ask them for the appropriate “beneficiary designation” form, fill it out naming Newman as the beneficiary, in whole or to whatever percentage you desire, and to make sure that any designation of Newman as a beneficiary on any asset you hold is also listed in your will or trust so that your executor knows to carry out your wishes.
As with a bequest through your will, Newman would appreciate you letting us know that we have been named as a beneficiary in the event of your passing so we can do what is necessary to see that your planned giving happens as you wished.
