This is a great place for simple unstructured retreats. Retreat rooms are generally reserved up to 6 months in advance, although cancellations sometimes free up space sooner. Meals are provided. Call for availability.

Mercy Center provides an oasis for rest and spiritual renewal. Retreat accomodations include simple, private bedrooms, shared bath facilities, nutritious and appealing meals served buffet style three times daily. Facility includes a beautiful chapel, meditation rooms, creative expression room, bookstore, walking paths, tennis courts and swimming pool. The Center is open for private and personally directed retreats. They offer sponsored and hosted events. Vallombrosa Center is available for groups for meetings,conferences, workshops, and retreats. Conference and breakout rooms for groups ranging in size from 10 - 80 can be tailored to meet specific needs. Accommodations include 60 rooms, 40 of which have twin beds. Each room has its own bathroom. Though the Center enjoys a peaceful seclusion, it is only minutes from downtown Menlo Park as well as Stanford University and the adjacent shopping center. The guesthouse is open for private retreats at specific times during the year. A calendar of openings is available by mid February each year. We offer either long weekend retreats from Thursday until Sunday or full week retreats from Monday until Sunday. Guests are welcome to participate in our daily rhythm of silence, solitude, meditation, common prayer and Eucharist. Spiritual accompaniment is available upon request. The meals are vegetarian, wholesome and nurturing.
